The Earth is shown completely drained of water, with humans desperate for even a drop. But the real nightmare begins when humans mutate to survive in extreme conditions. Yes, the film begins with a distant future where more than half the planet has been turned into a dead, barren wasteland as the Earth drifts closer to the sun. Temperatures soar to the point that oceans and rivers dry up. Nearly the entire world has become a scorching desert, with people willing to kill each other for a sip of water. These harsh conditions awaken a terrifying darkness within humanity.
In that barren land, a girl named Kendall hides in a small, abandoned house, doing whatever it takes to survive. Kendall moves with extreme caution, as danger lurks. Bandits roam the desert, slaughtering travelers and plundering any resources they find. Some groups are so brutal they even kill others just to extract fluids from their bodies. Kendle must weigh every step to avoid being caught. Her only advantage is a hidden pump system installed beneath the residence. With it, she could draw a little water from the ground. Something no one knew. Because if anyone knew, Kandama would die. Kendall desperately wanted to take her best friend Din far away from this place. Maybe she even loved him, though she never said it, because this world had no room for love. Din's organs were starting to fail like so many others suffering from dehydration and mutation, and he was growing weaker by the day. Kandle's sole goal was to get Din to a place where help might still be available. Using the radio, she picked up signals of people crying for help as they slowly died of thirst. Also, reports of ruthless groups killing victims all over the desert. Kendall knew she had to stay hidden with Din. No matter what, though, the radio was filled with the voices of people begging for help, a help she couldn't provide. It was clear Kendall didn't have enough water to help anyone. So she focused only on herself and Din. One day, while they were talking in the house, they suddenly heard the sound of someone trying to break in. Kandle panicked and rushed Din to a room upstairs that was completely hidden from view. Soon, they realized two strangers had entered, the kind who killed and stole resources. The intruders searched every corner, but never noticed the room upstairs, so Kand Din remained safe. Once safe, Kendall went downstairs and immediately pointed his gun at a terrified woman who appeared out of nowhere, begging for water. Kendall first checked to see if she was with anyone else. After confirming she was alone, he gave her some water. The woman was in terrible shape. Her legs were torn and bleeding from walking without rest. After drinking, Candle said he could stay with her for safety. But the woman also mentioned that her family was nearby. The woman further explained that her family was a small group of survivors who lived together as a team. Happy to be alive, the woman even invited Kandall to join her, but Kandall had other plans and would not go with anyone. After asking the woman to continue, Kandall headed back to where an old plane lay. He had tried to repair it, as his original plan had been to get it back in working order to leave with Din. Kendall believed there were still places on Earth where water remained abundant and the soil fertile. But for now, Candle was stuck with a major problem. The plane had a broken part, so finding a replacement on dry land was nearly impossible. One night, a message suddenly came over the radio. A terrified woman pleaded for help, saying that a group of ruthless men were attacking her home and slaughtering her entire family. Kendall couldn't ignore it. The woman wasn't far away, and Kendall knew that if she didn't help, no one would come to her in the future. So she quickly grabbed a gun, locked the house, and rushed to the scene. Unfortunately, by the time Kandle arrived, it was too late. She saw Carsen, the notoriously cruel and ruthless leader, standing among his armed gang. They believed that whoever was using the underground pumping system was draining the water. faster and would eventually dry up the remaining water beneath the surface, making human survival impossible. Because of this twisted belief, Carsen and his men roamed everywhere, destroying pumping stations and killing anyone who used them. Kendall could only watch helplessly. As they slaughtered the woman's entire family, Kendall knew such men were merciless. It was a chance. Luckily, Candle had managed to stay hidden and they never noticed her. Otherwise, it would have been over for her too. After they left, Kendall continued moving through the burning desert, the heat growing worse with each passing minute. Soon, he spotted a wrecked vehicle and rushed over, hoping to salvage something useful. By chance, he found the exact component needed for the plane. Hope returned. However, luck was still not on his side. When he brought the small component home, Kendall realized it was too small to fit. Completely discouraged, Kendall had no idea how to fix the plane. Now things were getting worse, as Carsen and his gang could come in at any moment. Furthermore, the water pump system was starting to fail. Maybe it was because the water level was dropping. They both knew the little water left wasn't enough to survive. Din admitted they might not have much time left and told Kendall not to waste her energy trying to fix the plane. Yes, Din urged Kandall to go save herself and start a new life somewhere safer. But Kandle was stubborn. To her, Din was more than just a friend, they had been together for years. If it was going to end without water, then Kandle's choice was to end up with Din. However, deep down, Kand knew it was a bad decision. Din then shared something painful. His sister had also died of dehydration and he buried her outside their residence. A heartbreaking memory. The next day, Kendall went to see a friend, Gabriel or Gabe, who had a secret crush on Kendall. Kendall asked for help. But soon, G's parents joined in, explaining that their pump system had also failed and the water supply had dropped so low that survival was nearly impossible. In desperation, they were considering joining Carson's gang, who had plenty of water sources. They even tried to persuade Kendall to join them, arguing that it might save Din's life. However, Kendall knew how cruel Karsen was and refused to join. He rejected their offer and left. And a few moments later, Carson and his gang arrived. Kand immediately hid and watched in horror as Carson killed G's parents. Karson killed them because of their age and didn't want to waste precious water resources on anyone he deemed useless. So in his gang, anyone who was too old or sick would be executed without hesitation. It was heartless of Kip Ambruk to cry seeing his parents. But Karsen influenced the young man's mind to close the answer to whether there were others hiding nearby. Gap almost said Kandle's name and Carson immediately ordered his men to spread smoke until finally feeling safe, Kendall tried to sneak out until a masked person attacked. Kendall managed to launch a counterattack, knocking the masked person down and then running away. Then he arrived at a place where a boy was hiding alone. A boy Kendall had known for a long time named Albi. Kendall had promised that one day if the plane managed to ignite, he would take Albi with him to safety. Kendall had actually forced Albi to live with him, but Albi refused, saying that the best hiding place was solitude. Kendall hurried home to meet Din, who told him everything about how Karson had killed his own aging group members and how the old man had been shot dead. They both realized that from now on they had to be extra careful. And from there a terrible question arose. If one day humanity truly ran out of water, how would people survive? Unfortunately, Kand was facing a much worse problem. Not just a lack of water, but humanoid monsters roaming the earth. Karsen's group could come at any time. Din took Kandle to his sister's grave and said, "When it's over, I don't want to be buried."like her sister." Din knew Kendall cared too much and would never be able to leave if her body remained there. So Din asked Kendle to burn it. The request broke Kandional and he was adamant. They would escape and Din must not talk as if he had given up. They returned to the house, locked every door and window. Then after a long night together they fell asleep. But the next morning when Kendall stepped outside in horror he saw Carsen's armed men standing nearby. Panicked, Kandall immediately went inside and hid. Karsen came with his entire crew looking for anyone who was still alive. His plan was to control all the water in the valley. Even the water inside human bodies. Kendle was silent, knowing that if his hiding place was discovered, he and Din would be executed on the spot. After a long search, Carson finally began to leave the area with his men. Kendall seized the opportunity and rushed upstairs to Din and both tried to remain calm. However, moments later, one of Carsen's men entered the house carrying a heat detector. So, heat Even the smallest human body could give away their hiding place. Luckily, Candle Danin had prepared everything by wrapping their bodies in aluminum foil so that their body heat was masked from the sensors. Just when it seemed they might be safe, Carson took things to the next level. He ordered poison gas released into the house so that anyone hiding inside would die. Kendle and Din struggled to contain themselves, but eventually they donned masks that protected them from the gas. After all this effort, Carsen and his men began to believe there was no one inside. Carsen's daughter Broke, who had been with him, looked around and saw an upstairs window covered with aluminum foil. She became suspicious. She tried to go in to check, but Carsen's men called her back because they were about to leave. When everything was safe, Kendall stepped outside and realized the water pump had stopped working. Not a drop was coming out, and without water, Din would not survive. Din continued to urge Kendall to flee to his uncle's residence. But Kendall became angry, grabbed a gun, and headed towards Carsen's heavily guarded headquarters. As he approached, Kandell quietly spotted a vehicle and suspected it was inside. The components he needed to repair the damaged plane. As Kandall approached, a masked soldier suddenly grabbed him and dragged him behind a rock. Kendall refused to give in, so he shot him and fled before anyone could react. The guards were on alert, but they couldn't track him. Somehow, Kendall made it back to the house and told Dien everything. The next morning, Kendall saw a group of men approaching from a distance. They didn't look like Carson's soldiers, but Kendall knew too much to believe them. He hurried to Din and warned him about the strangers heading their way. Din suspected they were probably just passers-by. And if they asked for water, Kand had better give him some. Just as someone had helped Din once. When Kendall went out to meet the three strangers, he discovered they were indeed travelers seeking safety, a place where water still remained. Exhausted, they asked for water, and Kendall rushed to help. They even invited Kendle to join them, claiming they knew a place where water still remained and life might be better. But Kendall refused, unable to leave. Din. Inside the house, Din had already realized the pump system was down, the water was no longer flowing, and their stored supplies were nearly gone. Heartbroken, Kandle said they only had water left for a few days, a week at most. She might actually stop drinking so Din could survive a little longer, though that made Din feel worse about Kandle's suffering. They supported each other through the crisis, and Kendall told her about a jeep parked near Carson's base, one that contained parts needed for the plane. Din weighed the situation carefully and then devised a solid plan for Kendall to sneak in and get what he needed. The plan impressed Kandle, and the next day he immediately headed to the location. First, Kandle shot a piece of burning debris onto the spilled oil, starting a fire. All the guards immediately ran. They ran into the flames and got distracted. So, the candle ran to the jeep, grabbed the necessary parking, and hurried home, relieved that they finally had a way out. Now all that was left was to install the components and test the plane. With a happy heart, Kendle stepped out to get some water for Din. But something unexpected happened. The travelers he had helped earlier suddenly appeared. And the whole visit and plea for help turned out to be a charade. They had intended to rob Kendle from the start. Kendle was beaten unconscious. And when one of the men nearly killed him, Din barged in with a gun and opened fire. From a distance, Kendle had seen Carsen and his men moving straight toward them, likely following the gunfire. Realizing this, Din quickly led Kendle to a nearby car, hid him, and then told him not to come out no matter what. When Karsen's group arrived, they immediately spotted Din and aimed their guns. Brok, already suspicious, was now convinced that someone was living there, and Din's capture confirmed it. However, Karsen's men still believed a sick man could kill three attackers single-handedly. So they continued searching the area, convinced there were others hiding. Some of them headed straight for the car where Candle was hidden. Realizing he had no choice, Din opened fire on Karsen's men to distract them. They immediately returned fire and killed him. Hearing the gunshots, Kendall... Din was finished. Kendall remained frozen in the car, unable to do anything. Finally, Karsen decided to retreat, though some of his men stayed behind to search more thoroughly and take whatever resources they found. Candle's grief quickly turned to rage, a burning desire for revenge. Yes, his best friend had died because of Carsen, so Kandle grabbed his sword and stepped out in a rage. After felling several of Karsen's men, one of the masked men collapsed right in front of Kandle. As the body fell, the mask slipped off, and Candle froze. The man he had just finished off was no stranger; it was his old friend G. Karson must have exploited the mental gap after killing his parents and forced him into the group. A moment of guilt hit Kandle like a crushing blow. But she reminded herself that anyone who stayed with Karsen was essentially signing their own death sentence. Kendall had already lost too many people. With a heavy heart, she took Din's body to a safer place. Remembering Din's final request that he not be buried, but cremated so he wouldn't be tied to that place. Kendall sat for a moment, overcome with breathlessness and emotion, but knew she couldn't stay silent. Wiping away tears, Kend immediately returned to her plane. With the crucial components she had stolen, she began repairing it as quickly as possible, for escape was now her only option. Luckily, this time the plane was truly clean. But Candle suddenly remembered her promise that she couldn't leave without Albi. She ran to the boy's house, only to find it empty. Confused, she searched the area until her eyes fell on one of Carson's posters. That's when it all became clear. Karsen's men must have taken the boy to their base. Kendall could have escaped right then and there. Flitted away, saved herself. But a promise was a promise. So he grabbed his weapon and marched towards Carsen's heavily fortified base, surrounded by fences on all sides. Risking his life, Kand slipped in, hiding in the oil pool, waiting for his chance. As soon as some of the soldiers noticed him and moved to attack, Kendel fired without hesitation, taking down anyone who stood in his way. Albi remained locked in fear, surrounded by the ruthless men of Karsen. Kendel pushed through the compound with unwavering determination. Every step was drenched in danger. Every breath filled with adrenaline. Bodies fell one by one, refusing to stop until Albi was safe. Finally, Kersen himself collapsed under the weight of the violence he unleashed. But the battle wasn't over. Princess Carsen Brook emerged from the shadows, weapon in hand. Her eyes blazed with rage. She charged at the candle, and they collided in a brutal fight that felt evenly matched. Two warriors driven by different motives. But Kendall, driven by the promise he held and the grief boiling within, overcame Princess Kerson. Breathless, Kendel rushed towards Albi, pulling him into a hug. gently into his arms, then led him out of the nightmare. Now the goal is simply to get the child onto a plane and fly away to safety. Will they succeed? And the end. This film often makes people tick because of its similar title. The setting is in Oregon when it has not rained for about 10 years and water is the most expensive commodity. At the beginning, the core of the conflict is actually simple but cruel. Kendle survives while caring for Dini who is seriously ill or has kidney failure and needs clean water and medicine. They have a well that is still working, but that automatically makes them a target for anyone who is thirsty. The film slowly shows that the danger is not only drought, but humans who have begun to justify anything for water. The clues to the ending are planted from the middle of the film. Din suspects that the underground water source or aquiver is being siphoned by Carsen, the leader of the group who owns the compound and sells the promise of a safe heaven. Carsen appears rational and calculating. He feels right to only save those who deserve it because water is limited. This is important because this way of thinking makes him believe the massacre is his own version of mercy, not evil. Once Kandall comes into direct contact with Carsen, all his masks fall away. Karsen kills those he considers a burden and forces the remaining survivors to follow his rules. Gabriel is a bitter example. He wasn't evil from the start, but fear and survival instincts made him submit until he finally became part of Carsen's machine. At this point, the film seems to be saying that in a cruel world, morals can easily be broken if your life is exchanged for a false sense of security. Towards the climax, there are two paths of hope that are deliberately contrasted: one is to stay home and defend the well, or the second, to escape with the plane they repaired. This choice of escape is not just running, but symbolizes that Kandall wants to escape the cycle of violence that always returns to the well. Therefore, the component he seeks is like the final key to the future. Then comes the decisive moment when the intruders try to steal the water. Din chooses to protect Kandle until he shoots them, and the sound of the gunfire draws Karsen's arrival. In the next attack, Din blocks Carsen's forces and ultimately dies. His is not a heroic display, but a silent sacrifice. Din realizes he doesn't have much time and the only way Kandle can live is if he locks the danger in place, even if only for a moment. After Din dies, Candle shifts from defense to offense. She grabs a katana and enters the composers and destroys Karsen's power structures one by one. The final battle against Carsen is not about who is stronger, but about who holds the definition of a worthy life. Karson believes life should be filtered and controlled. Kendall believes life should be given a chance, even if it's messy and risky. Kendall wins, but the film still leaves a bittersweet feeling because the price paid is too high. The little emotional twist comes at the end. Kendall saves Albi. Then they start the plane and prepare to fly. When Albi asks about Din, Kand says Din stayed behind. It sounds like a soft white lie. Kandle's way of protecting a little boy from the reality that their world devours good people. And also Kandle's way of forcing herself to keep going, not drowning in grief. So, what do you think?
